Cole and Osman bring Bowler success in Tuareg Rallye

Alex Cole and Emma Osman have won the Car Pro category of the 2018 Tuareg Rallye. After winning the first stage they managed the lead that increased to at least eight hours. The win marks an important victory for the Bowler Motorsport team.

The last stage of the race was won by Liam Griffin and Chris Geldard. They finished a few minutes before Cole and Osman who didn’t take major risk in the last stage. Griffin and Geldard took a second place overall on the last day aswell.

Major trouble with the cooling system of the Toyota caused Ronald and Wendy Broomans to lose a lot of time. They were in a safe second place before the last stage but a problem with the cooling system. They dropped to third place in the overall classification that meant that Bowler sealed a one-two-four. Andrew Wicklow and Simon Armstrong came into fourth.

Sven Quandt and Annet Fischer have won the Tuareg Rally in Side by Side. They drove solid all week and claimed the victory in the end. Team Pendikainen came close in a few stages but didn’t have the pace to close the gap in the end of the race.

Clemens Eicker has taken a commanding victory in the quad category. The German rider completed the seven stages in 28 and a half hour while his nearest competitor needed twelve hours more. Patrick Robin from France came in second, Laurent Hellemans didn’t have an easy race but got third in the end.

In Car Expert Wijnand Strik and Marcel Thijssens were the sole competitors to reach the finish in Midelt. The Dutch duo made it all the way to the end after they decided to step up a class on the first day of the rally.
