Kaiser and List take vital victories in second stage Tuareg Rally
Thorsten Kaiser and Gerard List were the greatest successors on the second day of the Tuareg Rally. Kaiser improved his lead in the bike category while List recovered after a loss of time on Sunday.
Kaiser won the stage in front of Dominique Robin of the Owaka team. Kaiser’s advantage was more than three minutes as he consolidated his lead in the overall classification. Mathieu Delmotte finished third, nine minutes behind winner Kaiser.
Gerard List took an important win in the second stage. He finished ten minutes in front of the main competition and gained some time back after running out of fuel in the first stage.
The duo Quant/Fischer won the stage in the car category in front of Adrian von Lerber and Peter Schumann. Ian Rochelle and Merel Taal impressed in the first stage but finished way behind today after missing three checkpoints.
Brian Palmer and Mark Townson crashed their Bowler during the second stage. They didn’t finish the complete stage and the Bowler team is working hard to get the car ready for stage 3.
