It took until the very last minute but the brand new rebuild Desert Warrior of Erren Rally Racing is ready for the start of the Libya Rally. Driving to scrutineering were the first meters. “This rally is going to be a challenge by itself,” Peter Erren expects.

The days ahead of the start the Libya Rally were still quite busy and till the last minute adjustments were made to improve the car. “We thought it was a good idea to cover the air scoop with wire mesh, but a few much experienced Dakar competitors told us it was better to take it off to improve the cooling capacity. So we decided to follow their advice.”

Now that every detail is done, Peter Erren and Jan-Paul van der Poel are eager to start the rally and test the car in harsh conditions. “The car should be good, but it’s all brand new and we don’t know what will happen once we enter the competition.”

The Libya Rally will start tomorrow (Friday) morning from Agadir. You can follow Peter and Jan-Paul live online at Libya-rally-live.com (competitor number 309) and via the Libya Rally app for iOs and Android. We will keep you updated as well on our Facebook page Facebook.com/ErrenRallyRacing (also possible when you are not on Facebook).
